THE INSTITUTION
STUDIO NEREUS – Connecting Latin America with the World’s Creative Economies
Studio Nereus is an international cultural cooperation network that connects people, institutions, and territories to develop projects with long-term impact.
We believe culture flourishes when ideas, knowledge, and artistic creation can circulate freely. That is why we build partnerships between Latin America and the leading cultural ecosystems of the Global South, creating opportunities for cooperation, artistic mobility, research, and the development of the creative industries.
More than an organization dedicated to producing cultural activities, we are a platform that builds lasting relationships among the people and institutions that make culture possible.
An International Cooperation Network
Studio Nereus develops projects in partnership with universities, international organizations, cultural associations, festivals, museums, and cooperation networks that share a common vision: strengthening knowledge exchange, artistic mobility, and intercultural dialogue.
Our work is built through long-term institutional partnerships. Each collaboration expands opportunities for cooperation between Latin America and other regions, creating new possibilities for artists, researchers, cultural professionals, and institutions.
Among the organizations with which we maintain cooperation, exchange, or project development partnerships are:
- African Culture Alliance (ACA)
- Creative for Future Africa (CFC Africa)
- BRICS Women’s Business Alliance
- UNESCO – International Fund for Cultural Diversity
- China International Culture Association (CICA)
Our network continues to grow through new partnerships with universities, ministries of culture, cinematheques, museums, festivals, and international organizations committed to cultural cooperation. Building these relationships is at the heart of Studio Nereus.
An Editorial Platform
Editorial publishing is a tool for sharing ideas, fostering dialogue, and documenting cultural processes.
Our journal features interviews, research, criticism, essays, and coverage of cinema, photography, music, visual arts, cultural heritage, and the creative economy. Every publication contributes to strengthening the dialogue between Latin America and the Global South.
Cultural Project Development
We design and develop festivals, audiovisual programs, exhibitions, publications, academic events, and other initiatives that promote cultural exchange.
Every project is conceived from an international perspective and aims to create new opportunities for cooperation among institutions, artists, and communities.
Film Distribution
Distribution is an essential part of our vision of cultural circulation. We work to connect films and audiovisual projects with new audiences through partnerships with festivals, cinematheques, streaming platforms, distributors, and cultural institutions.
We see distribution as a strategic tool for expanding the reach of creative works and strengthening dialogue across different regions.
An Ecosystem for Artists and Institutions
Studio Nereus brings together information, cooperation, and opportunities for artists, researchers, cultural managers, and organizations within a single platform.
We promote residencies, exchange programs, cultural markets, professional training initiatives, and collaborative projects that foster professional growth and the development of new international networks.
Our purpose is not to represent a particular artistic discipline, nor is it limited to organizing cultural activities. We build the infrastructure that connects people, institutions, and ideas, enabling new projects and new pathways for international cooperation.
Because the most meaningful cultural transformations begin when someone decides to build a bridge to another territory. That vision guides every initiative undertaken by Studio Nereus.
